On April 9, 2018 the College of Pharmacy conducted a Career advising session for its PharmD students. Most students and Faculty members were present during the session. The Dean of the College addressed the students and talked about building their CV and their profile starting from their first semester in the College. A strong CV and a solid positive reputation will open up opportunities for the student to receive special fellowships/scholarships with national and international institutions that GMU is affiliated with. All this will serve to open doors for a career in professional pharmacy practice or to pursue postgraduate studies in pharmacy practice or pharmaceutical sciences.
The session was followed by a celebration of the exemption from the six months postgraduate pre-license training requirement for GMU PharmD students by UAE Ministry of Health.
