As part of their academic and professional development, students from the Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) and Diploma in Pharmacy Technician (DPT) programs embarked on an industrial visit to Julphar Pharmaceutical Company, one of the leading pharmaceutical manufacturers in the Middle East. The visit, held at Julphar’s headquarters in Ras Al Khaimah, on February 19th, 2025 provided students with valuable insights into the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.

The visit commenced with an informative session delivered by Dr. Rasha Ahmed, Manager of Technical Training at Julphar. Dr. Rasha provided an overview of the company’s various manufacturing plants and their operations, highlighting Julphar’s contributions to the pharmaceutical sector and its global distribution network.
Following the briefing, students toured two key production facilities. The first stop was Julphar Plant one, which specializes in the filling and packaging of liquid dosage forms. Here, students observed the intricate processes involved in ensuring the quality and efficiency of liquid pharmaceutical products.
The second visit was to Julphar Plant ten, dedicated to the production of semi-solid dosage forms. The students gained firsthand knowledge of the procedures involved in manufacturing semi-solid formulations, including mixing, filling, and packaging. The detailed explanations provided by industry experts allowed students to understand the complexities of pharmaceutical production and the stringent quality control measures in place.
The industrial visit served as an enriching experience, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. It provided students with a deeper appreciation of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and regulatory compliance, reinforcing their classroom learning with real-world industry exposure.
This visit to Julphar Pharmaceutical Company is part of the institution’s ongoing efforts to enhance student learning through industry engagement and experiential learning opportunities.
