The College of Pharmacy hosted a career counseling session on the integration of Artificial Intelligence in pharmacy practice, featuring Dr. Wael Labib, Lead Pharmacist in Automation and Informatics services at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. The session, held on June 1st, 2023, aimed to provide valuable career insights to pharmacy students and shed light on the emerging field of automation and pharmacy informatics.

During the session, Dr. Wael discussed the current trends in the healthcare system and how technological solutions are being implemented to achieve patient-focused outcomes. He emphasized the growing role of automation and informatics pharmacists in optimizing healthcare processes and improving patient care.

The enthusiastic participation of the students reflected their eagerness to learn more about the field of pharmacy informatics and reenforcing their understanding that pharmacy informatics is becoming a necessity in the pharmacist’s role in patient care.
