Gulf Medical University, College of Medicine held its annual White Coat Ceremony for its new MBBS, BBMS and ADPCS students on September 28, 2017. In this symbolic event, students of 2017 batch took the oath and proudly put on their white coats in an inspirational and moving event that was attended by students, families, college and university officials.
Mr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder and President of the Board of Trustees was the Chief Guest and presided over the ceremony. Chancellor, Professor Hossam Hamdy delivered the ceremony speech and welcomed the students of their chosen professions. Provost, Professor Gita Ashok Raj, led the recitation of the pledge in a solemn ceremony attended by the Dean and faculty members who welcomed the students into the programs and wished them a fruitful professional journey.
Prof. Margaret Lartey, Dean, School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Ghana, Accra, Prof. Wojciech Zaluska, Dean, Faculty of Medicine & Dr. Kamil Torres, Vice Dean, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Medical University of Lublin, Poland attended the White Coat Ceremony.
