College of Medicine, Gulf Medical University proudly announce that our immediate graduate Ms. Zahra Khan from Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (BBMS) program bags the 1st Prize in Undergraduate Research Competition conducted by the Islamabad Medical and Dental College, Pakistan. She presented her research titled “Prevalence of Extended-Spectrum β-Lactamase (ESBL) Genes in Enterobacteriaceae in Urine Samples from Thumbay Hospitals, UAE”. The prize includes a certificate and a cash prize.
Her research was very much appreciated and the faculty and other students wanted to know more about her program. She plans to join M.Phil in Molecular Medicine in Pakistan. She is eligible for direct M.Phil in Pakistan since her Bachelor degree is of 4 years.
