More than 2000 people, including families visited Thumbay Medical & Dental Specialty Center, Sharjah to attend the free mega health camp organized as part of Thumbay Group’s CSR program, on Friday, 16th February 2018. The event was organized with the aim of promoting health awareness among the public and offering them easy access to quality healthcare, the camp offered specialist consultations, medicines, laboratory investigations, X-ray, ECG and Ultrasound services; all completely free of charges.
Prof. Hossam Hamdy, the Chancellor of Gulf Medical University, Ajman was the Chief Guest of the inaugural function of the Mega Health Camp. Inaugurating the camp, he said, “I am glad to inaugurate this Mega Camp, which is one of the most important activities of the Thumbay Group’s Healthcare Division and Gulf Medical University. This is one of the best ways to serve the community of this country, and we do it to the best of our abilities.”
Speaking about the ‘academic’ aspect of Thumbay Hospitals, he added: “All the hospitals and clinics under Thumbay Group’s healthcare division also have an academic mission. Medical and dental students of Gulf Medical University are engaging with the patients, in these hospitals, medical centers and clinics.”
