There are people in the world who are not as fully abled as us but can still give a doodie smile and goes about inspiring many. They are the determined ones. The 3 rd of December every year is globally observed as the International Day For The People With Disabilities which is promoted by the United Nations ever since 1992. It aims at promoting and protecting the rights of these determined ones. Handling people with disabilities is becoming more of a sensitive issue since the majority of the population are not aware of how to treat these determined ones. These determined ones seek for nothing more than love, encouragement and equal treatment.
We at GMU, here, celebrated this day by creating awareness, exhibiting presentations, and conducting fun activities through which the students were made to contemplate and react over these issues that still remains unsolved in the society.
Mini project with an only motive of raising awareness was conducted. The mini project took all its participants through the pages of history of why this day is observed globally. Participants of this mini project were engaged in a variety of fun activities that made the participants understand the motive behind raising awareness on such a sensitive issue.
