Dr. Farah Azhar Awarded Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) by Advance HE, UK

Gulf Medical University (GMU) is pleased to announce that Dr. Farah Azhar, Lecturer in Medical Education and MHPE Program Coordinator, has been conferred the Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) by Advance HE, UK. The Fellowship recognizes sustained, evidence-based excellence in teaching, learning support, and educational leadership aligned with the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF).

Dr. Farah’s Fellowship portfolio demonstrated clear impact across the UKPSF areas of activity, core knowledge, and professional values. Her work spans problem-based learning (PBL) facilitation, curriculum design and review for the MHPE programme, mentorship of undergraduate and postgraduate learners, Course Chair of Medical Education and Lifelong Learning course, faculty development and scholarly contributions in various domains of Health Professions Education.
