Thumbay College of Management and AI in Healthcare, Gulf Medical University organized a one-day Conclave “Visionary Leaders Nurture Lifelong Learners” on Saturday, 25th June 2022. The conclave aimed at bridging the gaps between school education and higher education through active deliberation and meaningful collaboration. The conclave was well received by academia as 50+ participants from 31 schools participated in the event.


The day began with the introduction of the Thumbay College of Management and AI in Healthcare by Acting Dean, Dr. Moon Moon Haque. Chancellor of the university Prof. Hossam Hamdy addressed the gathering on potential employment opportunities in the healthcare sector and highlighted the importance of healthcare management and health economics professionals in society.
Three-panel discussions were organized during the conclave in which experts from different schools such as Habitat School, Global Indian International School, Sharjah Indian School, Modern American International School, Ryan International School, Dubai National School, School of Research Science, Pakistani Islamia Higher Secondary School, Ajman Academy School, and Al Zuhour Private School shared their thoughts on various pertinent issues. The discussion brought forward various aspects and perspectives on how schools assist students in preparing for higher education and contribute to nurturing their lifelong learning. The panelist also acknowledged the support provided by Gulf Medical University to students from weaker socio-economic backgrounds.


Principals, counselors, and senior members of various schools appreciated this initiative and suggested that there should be regular interaction between higher education institutions and schools to complement the efforts of each other. The event ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sudhir Rana.
