To serve the Emirates of Ajman, the UAE and, the regional healthcare community by enhancing knowledge, analytical and overall decision-making skills of next generation of healthcare professionals who will discover, disseminate, and preserve knowledge in a spirit of free and fair intellectual inquiry.

College Goals – The Strategic Imperative

1. Develop a college paradigm that leverage the Gulf Medical University identity as a known medical institution with various medical colleges and medical research institutes as well as a large network of healthcare facilities that enjoy quality brand including hospitals, pharmacies, clinics and labs in various countries.
2. Design programs that integrate both medical knowledge from the academic-medical colleges as well as practice from the affiliated network of health facilities in order to develop unique practice oriented programs that are built around the unique health industry culture.
3. Develop a supportive and engaging intellectual learning and professional health oriented culture.
4. Provide students with state of art knowledge, tools and techniques in health economics, policy and healthcare management.

Executive Master in Healthcare Management and Economics

Program Vision

To be a leading executive program in healthcare management and economics in the region known for its practice oriented clinical approach to decision making.

Program Mission

The mission of the Executive Master in Healthcare Management and Economics is to provide health­care executive with the tools, knowledge and skills needed to become an effective socially responsible leader capable of handling today’s complex and highly competitive healthcare industry environment. The program is grounded on a unique integrative approach that leverage the relations with both medi­cal colleges and the healthcare industry including hospitals, pharmacy chain, clinics and labs in order to produce a culturally sensitive graduates.

EMHME Program Goals

1. Develop a supportive and engaging intellectual learning and practice-oriented curriculum based on critical thinking, problem solving, and innovation that’s capable of addressing special­ized complex issues in the health industry.
2. Craft a unique integrative approach of learning grounded on providing students with essential medical knowledge and practice-oriented curriculum by leveraging relationship with medical colleges and GMU affiliated hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, labs and insurance business.
3. Provide students with leading edge knowledge and techniques in health economics, policy and healthcare management to allow them to manage strategic change, deal with complex health­care policy issues and be effective leader in the health industry.
4. Enhance students’ knowledge of business functions, leadership and professional skills as it applies to health organizations in order to be capable of making sound decisions.
5. Help students to work independently, in teams and to take responsibility, assume leadership and to develop the highest professional standards and work ethics.
6. Enhance students’ essential medical knowledge, terminology and the industry unique culture in order be able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders in the health industry.

Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management and Economics

The mission of the Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management and Economics is to provide students with the knowledge, tools and skills needed to become an effective socially responsible, innovative professionals in the unique health industry culture – capable of handling today’s complex, changing and highly competitive health industry environment. As such the program incubation philosophy is grounded on a unique integrative practice-oriented approach that address contemporary organizational and business issues in the health industry.

BSc.HME Program Goals

1. Provide students with leading edge knowledge and techniques in health economics, policy and healthcare management needed to make sound decision in the highly changing and turbulent healthcare industry.
2. Design a unique integrative approach grounded on providing students with essential medical knowledge and a practice oriented curriculum by leveraging relationship with medical colleges and GMU affiliated hospitals, pharmacy chain, labs and clinics and insurance business.
3. Develop a supportive and engaging learning and practice oriented curriculum based on critical thinking, problem solving, and innovation capable of addressing specialized complex healthcare issues.
4. Provide students with functional business knowledge, professional skills, and strategic trends in the health industry incompliance with health regulatory standards and grounded on the highest professional standards and work ethics.
5. Help students develop essential medical knowledge, terminology and appreciate the health industry unique culture in order to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
