Dean Khalifa Speaks at the Higher Education MENA Conference

The Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Sherief Khalifa presented today November 20, 2017 at the Higher Education MENA conference in Dubai. He participated with a panel of distinguished speakers on “Increasing Regional Research Capability for Greater Impact on National Economic Development”. The discussion focused on priorities of the government and private sector in developing research capability, incentives to encourage research that benefits both the institutions and the private sector and how higher education can be repositioned to lead in research and development efforts.

Dr. Khalifa commented on the need for stronger communication between academia, government and industry to identify specifics in research priorities and to drive the research agenda in a way that addresses the needs of every sector in order to have positive impact on economic development.
