On July 1st 2025, Gulf Medical University (GMU) College of Pharmacy welcomed two pharmacy students from Future University in Egypt (FUE) as part of an international academic exchange and training program. The students are undertaking a one-month clinical pharmacy rotation at Thumbay University Hospital (TUH), GMU’s campus hospital.

This initiative aims to enhance students’ clinical competence and exposure to international healthcare practice. During their rotation, the visiting students are actively involved in various aspects of clinical pharmacy practice, including observing the clinical pharmacy services provided at TUH, reviewing patient medical records, participating in ward rounds with physicians and clinical pharmacists, and engaging in case-based discussions.
The collaboration reflects GMU’s commitment to advancing pharmacy education and fostering international academic partnerships. The clinical rotation is expected to significantly contribute to the professional growth of the participating students, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in today’s complex healthcare landscape. Gulf Medical University continues to expand its network of academic partners globally and remains dedicated to training future healthcare leaders through innovation, collaboration, and excellence in education.
