The College of Medicine (CoM) at Gulf Medical University proudly celebrated a major milestone in 2025 with its first-time participation in the prestigious Thumbay International Research Grant. The initiative was launched under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, and presided over by Dr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder President of the Thumbay Group. The event took place during the 4th GMU Research Day 2025, attended by students, faculty, and staff.


Acting Dean of the College, Prof. Salah Eldin Kassab, remarked, “Our participation reflects the College’s commitment to excellence in education, research, and global collaboration.”

This landmark initiative stands as a strong testament to the College of Medicine at GMU and reflects deep appreciation for the support and visionary leadership of the university’s senior administration—especially the Founder President, Dr. Thumbay Moideen; Acting Chancellor, Prof. Manda Venkatramana; Vice Chancellor for Research and Director of TRIPM, Prof. Salem Chouaib; and Acting Vice Chancellor for Academics, Prof. Hesham Marei.
