GMU’s MDD Alumna Nusaiba Babiker Secures Prestigious Award at AAU-CPBS’25

The College of Pharmacy proudly celebrates the achievement of Nusaiba Babiker, a graduate of the Master of Science in Drug Discovery and Development (MDD) program, who secured Second Place in the Drug Design and Technology category (Oral Presentation) at the joint Al Ain University International Conference on Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences (AAU-CPBS’25) and the AAU Health and Biomedical Postgraduate Symposium.

Nusaiba’s presentation, titled “Design, Synthesis, and Biological Evaluation of a Novel Series of Anthranilate Derivatives as Potential Anticancer Agents”, was supervised by Dr. Eman El-Labbad and Dr. Ahmad Thabet. Her research contributes to the development of innovative therapeutic strategies in oncology, reflecting the cutting-edge scientific exploration fostered within GMU’s MDD program.

This prestigious recognition highlights the caliber of research conducted by MDD graduates and underscores GMU’s commitment to advancing pharmaceutical sciences.
