Dr. Juny Sebastian, Program Director of the Diploma in Pharmacy Technician Program at Gulf Medical University, represented the UAE at the 2024 FIP Pharmacy Technician Symposium – “Working Together for the Future of Healthcare.” Hosted by the FIP Pharmacy Technician Advisory Committee in conjunction with International Pharmacy Technician Day, the symposium took place over two half days, on October 15 and 16, 2024.
Dr. Juny delivered a presentation during Day 2, Session 1, titled “Building Relationships Within the Pharmacy Team,” where she offered insights from a UAE perspective. Her session complemented other key presentations, including “Leading Pharmacy Technicians: An Evidence-Based Approach” by Kenneth Hohmeier from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, USA, and a discussion on FIP’s perspectives on relationship building within pharmacy teams.
