In honour of the World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW), GPSA-UAE organized an AMR awareness Community Engagement Event in the GMU Main Foyer to create awareness among students and visitors. Around 14 volunteers had come together to present posters, conduct games (balloon darts) and quizzes, and award prizes to the visitors.
Professor Sherief Khalifa, Dean of the College of Pharmacy and faculty members were among the honoured guests who had visited and engaged with the students’ activities.
The posters included information related to the rise of AMR, the increasing prevalence of superbugs and advancements in alternative antibiotic therapies. The students were able to engage with the visitors including professors and students through poster presentations, games and photobooth props.
