College of Pharmacy Facilitates Interactive Learning for Greenwood International School Students

On February 1st, 2024, the College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University orchestrated a compelling educational visit to Greenwood International School in Dubai. The purpose of the visit was to enlighten students about the vast spectrum of medical and pharmaceutical disciplines and their pivotal role in community service.

During this session, students were immersed in a comprehensive overview of the diverse fields within the medical and pharmaceutical domains. Dr. Naglaa Ashmawy, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, provided valuable insights into the Gulf Medical University’s various medical programs. Her presentation displayed the numerous opportunities available in these fields and served as an inspiration for students contemplating careers dedicated to healthcare.

Expanding its commitment to education in the UAE, on Thursday, March 7th, 2024 the College of Pharmacy welcomed Grade 12 students from Greenwood International School into its different laboratories. The students were offered a unique, hands-on experience, actively participating in an engaging “Drug Manufacturing Session” and immersing themselves in several clinical activities. These carefully designed sessions aimed to enhance the students’ educational skills and deepen their understanding of pharmaceutical processes and clinical practices.
