On February 27, 2024 – In a significant educational excursion, postgraduate PharmD and Master in Clinical Pharmacy students from the College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University (GMU) embarked on an insightful visit to Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD), marking a day of exploration into the evolving landscape of clinical pharmacy and healthcare innovation.
The visit, aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and practical application in the field of pharmacy, offered the students an unparalleled opportunity to engage directly with leading pharmacy practitioners and explore the state-of-the-art facilities at one of the region’s premier healthcare institutions.

Upon their arrival, the GMU cohort was warmly welcomed by the pharmacy leadership team at CCAD. The day commenced with an engaging meeting where students were introduced to the pivotal roles and responsibilities that define the realm of clinical pharmacy within a hospital setting. The discourse provided valuable insights into the critical thinking, precision, and compassion required to excel in the field.
Following the introductory session, the students were taken on a comprehensive tour of the CCAD facilities.
