On February 15, 2024, Dean Khalifa was invited to give a keynote opening presentation to a few hundred of pharmacy students around the globe. The title of the presentation was:
Research: A Must or an Option
The focus of the presentation was on the importance of research being an integral part of the pharmacist’s responsibilities in support of the expanding roles of practice for pharmacists worldwide.
As the job market is becoming more and more competitive, it is not enough to read the literature and use it as evidence in daily practice recommendations and decisions. We are now looking at pharmacists who will create the evidence from their research and use it to change practice.
