GMU’S Dr. Juny Sebastian conducts a workshop on OSCE design and procedure at Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences in Bengaluru, India

On October 25, 2023, Dr. Juny Sebastian, Assistant Professor at the College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University, led a comprehensive OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) design and procedure workshop at Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bengaluru, India. The workshop garnered active participation from esteemed teaching faculty members hailing from the Department of Pharmacy Practice within the College of Pharmacy.

The workshop was structured around key elements, including in-depth exploration of OSCE principles, the creation of intricate case scenarios and accompanying checklists, strategic planning for OSCE stations, a practical Mock OSCE exercise, and the invaluable receipt of feedback from both students and examiners.

This initiative was undertaken in the context of introducing OSCE as an integral component of the exit examination for PharmD students. Dr. Sebastian’s contribution in this endeavor underscores the commitment to advancing clinical education and assessment in the field of pharmacy.
