GMU College of Pharmacy Master’s Students Present Research at Al Ain University International Conference on Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences

The Master of Science in Drug Discovery and Development (MDD) program students participated in The First Al Ain University International Conference on Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences in the UAE. The conference was organized by the College of Pharmacy at Al Ain University and took place at Abu Dhabi campus, January 18-19, 2023. The conference hosted a collection of leading regional and international researchers who shared their experiences in pharmacy, nutrition, biomedical and clinical sciences.

Master of Science in Drug Discovery and Development (MDD) students, Ms. NusaibaBabiker and Mr. Hesham Elashmouny gave three presentations, a podium and two poster presentations.

The conference is the First AAU International Conference on Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences (AAU-CPBS’23) that had scientists, professors, pharmacists, nutritionists, practitioners and students to with more than 150 participants from different institutions. This conference aimed to bring leading regional and international researchers to exchange and share their experiences in pharmacy, nutrition, biomedical and clinical sciences.

GMU MDD student Mr. Hesham Elashmouny delivered an oral presentation and a poster presentation titled:

Formulation and Optimization of Transdermal 18-β Glycyrrhetinic acid Hybrid Nanovesicular Gels in the field of pharmaceutical technology.

Another poster presentation given by Ms. NusaibaBabiker, MDD student, titled In silico Fragment Based Drug Design & Molecular Docking of Tranilast Analogues as Potential Inhibitors of Transforming Growth Factor- β Receptor type 1
