Dr. Selma Benwahmane Castell currently serves as a Clinical Preceptor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice, College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Gulf Medical University, UAE in 2021. She is currently practicing as a hospital pharmacist at Thumbay University Hospital, Ajman. Additionally, she is pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Pharmacy at GMU to further enhance her expertise in patient care and evidence-based practice. Dr. Selma Castell is a highly skilled pharmacy professional with a strong academic background and extensive hands-on experience in hospital and community pharmacy settings. She has gained expertise across multiple specialties, including infectious diseases, pediatrics, cardiology, in-patient operations, and ambulatory care through internships at renowned institutions like Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman. Passionate about evidence-based practice and patient-centered care, she is committed to improving patient outcomes through qualitative & effective intercollaborative practice. She actively mentors students, guiding them through their clinical experiences & hands-on practicals to foster their professional growth, while also contributing to pharmacy education and research.
