College of Pharmacy students presented 2 posters at the 5th UAE International Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance on the 25-26 March 2022 at the Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre. The conference was organized by the National Antimicrobial Resistance Committee in the UAE. Antimicrobial Stewardship programs (ASP) was one of the main objectives of the conference along with other measures to combat resistance. Our student groups have presented posters on the ‘Analysis of published Antimicrobial Stewardship programs from hospitals in the United Arab Emirates’ and a ‘System Wide Novel Antimicrobial Intervention to Improve Antimicrobial Use in the UAE” under the supervision of our faculty Dr. Shabaz Mohiuddin Gulam.
