On February 23, 2022, Dr. Paul Bush was invited to visit GMU Thumbay University Hospital. Dr. Bush is Vice President of Global Resource Development and Consulting of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). He met with GMU Chancellor (Prof. Hossam Hamdy), Vice Chancellor and Dean College of Pharmacy (Prof. Khalifa) and was taken for a full tour of the university hospital by Associate Dean Clinical, Dr. Dixon Thomas.
Dr. Bush gave a talk to college of pharmacy faculty, preceptors and senior students on developing ASHP accredited pharmacy residency programs. He also provided insight on the initial steps in preparing for such a residency.
