On 31st October 2021, PharmD students from various semesters along with Thumbay University Hospital staff and Obstetrician-Gynecologists specialist Dr. Wajiha Ajmal joined hands with Radisson Blue Hotel Ajman management and staff members in spreading awareness on the prevention of risk factors and screening of breast cancer. This joint outreach in fighting against breast cancer is part of students’ community engagement programs held annually on the month of October.
Following a lecture on breast cancer awareness by Dr. Wajiha Ajmal, the Radisson Blue Hotel management and staff along with College of Pharmacy students participated in a “Pink-A-Thon” walk highlighting to the public on the importance of spreading awareness, promoting early detection and preventing breast cancer complications.
