GMU College of Pharmacy Participates in the Regional Pharma Career Conference (PHARMACC) 2021

For the second year in a row, Pharmacy Career Conference kicked off its annual summit for 2021. This two-days conference is tailored for Pharmacy Students and Professionals who would like to explore the nontraditional pharmacy career options. Conference’s delegates have the opportunity to meet with various renowned experts who will share their strategies and challenging stories in pursuing nontraditional pharmacy career options and learn about the current market trends and various career opportunities.

Proudly, GMU Colleg of Pharmacy’s Dr. Eman El-Labbad and Dr. Ahmad El Ouweini, were among invited speakers. In the first day of the event, Dr. El-Labbad talked about “Own Your Future” Career Counseling Program, Empowering Students to Shape Their Future Career.” where she showed the magnificent success of GMU’s student happiness center that she is leading in the college of pharmacy and the tangible outcomes achieved. On the other hand, Dr. El Ouweini presented about “The Secret to Craft a Lasting Impact: A Clinical Pharmacist Approach” where he shared precious lessons during his career journey to help students and graduates shine as influential individuals and impactful health care professionals. He also highlighted the non-traditional career opportunities for a clinical pharmacist.

Dean Sherief Khalifa commented: “Career counseling for our pharmacy students and graduates takes high priority at GMU. We believe it is part of our responsibility to make sure our graduates are placed in the healthcare workforce in areas where they fit the most. We also make every effort to shape our graduates as change agents advocating for their patients and impacting pharmacy practice locally and regionally”.
