GMU PharmD Program Celebrates the Continued Certification by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)

On June 30, 2021, the College of Pharmacy celebrated the continued certification of the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program following the 2-year post certification focused visit by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).

Chancellor Prof. Hossam Hamdy and Vice-Chancellor Academics Prof. Manda Venkatramana of GMU joined Dean Prof. Sherief Khalifa and the faculty member to celebrate the prestigious ACPE certification.

Prof. Sherief Khalifa, Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Vice Chancellor for Quality & Global Engagement commented: It is a privilege for all of us, faculty, and students to be part of a college and a program that is ACPE certified. Our mission of continuous quality improvement keeps us continuously on the lookout for better ways to provide pharmacy education to our students. It is our responsibility to produce pharmacists who can best serve their patients in UAE and anywhere in the world. Although it is the PharmD program that is certified, the ACPE certification has its impact on all college programs, all of our faculty and most importantly on our students and graduates.
