On Dec 29, 2020, GMU Pharm.D students published (Ahead of Print) an Abstract of Systematic Review on Diabetic Care Services in Current Diabetes Review (CDR), indexed in SCOPUS (cite score 4.0 & Q2), PubMed and other databases. The students performed literature search, critical appraisal and developed qualitative evidence under the supervision of Dr. Syed Wasif Gillani. This article focused on the qualitative assessment of pharmacist-services for the management of diabetes in United Arab Emirates (UAE). Critical literature appraisal and report preparation are the essential elements of scholarly activities. Students’ have shown committed attitude towards scientific writing, publication and evidence-based practice. The dedicated academic support and opportunities in college of pharmacy, encourages the students to participate in research activities of different concentrations.

All the faculty members of Pharmacy and Prof. Khalifa (Dean) congratulate students on the successful research publication and on their contribution to the pharmacy practice body of knowledge. PharmD students’ engagement I research at the undergraduate level is essential in developing their evidence-based practice skills.
