A PharmD Student from India Successfully Completes Clinical Pharmacy Training Program in Internal Medicine

Ms. Ayyar Ajitha Narayanan, a PharmD student from PES College of Pharmacy, Bangalore, India, has successfully completed 200 hours of Clinical Pharmacy training offered by College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University (GMU) at Thumbay University Hospital, Ajman from October 26, 2020 to November 30, 2020. The hospital is part of the Academic Health System of Gulf Medical University. Ms. Ajitha completed her clinical pharmacy training in Internal Medicine.

National and international pharmacy students are invited to apply to the clinical pharmacy training program. The training is customized based on the need of the student or pharmacist. Currently, we are training Bachelor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy and Master in Clinical Pharmacy students from UAE and abroad.

Training is provided in different clinical specialty areas with direct supervision from experienced clinical pharmacists, pharmacy practice faculty, and other healthcare professionals on collaborative clinical pharmacy practice. Being an educational leader of clinical pharmacy in the UAE with Doctor of Pharmacy and Master in Clinical Pharmacy programs, the College has a strong and effective system in place for the training.
