Dr. Julie Patterson delivers an educational session to GMU Master in Clinical Pharmacy students

On November 10, 2020, Dr. Julie Patterson PharmD, PhD, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacotherapy & Outcomes Science, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), conducted a class on the level of evidence in clinical research to Master in Clinical Pharmacy (MCP) students at College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University. This class was part of a collaborative partnership between both institutions.

Dr. Patterson has her Professional and Scholarly interests in Cost-effectiveness and value of medications and pharmacist services, Pharmacy quality, Pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement, and Patient preferences in healthcare decision-making.

Vice Chancellor and Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Sherief Khalifa said GMU is proud of its collaboration with VCU. Evaluating the quality of evidence and applying that in practice, is essential for pharmacists and all healthcare professionals.
