GMU PharmD Graduate & Master’s in Clinical Pharmacy Candidate Presents at IVPN Network Journal Club

On September 27, 2020, Dr. Jumana Al-Salloum, PharmD, Masters in Clinical Pharmacy candidate and clinical preceptor at GMU, participated as a speaker in the IntraVenous Parenteral Nutrition (IVPN) Journal Club Series, September Edition. The first session of the series was presented by Dr. Al-Salloum as presenter and Dr. Hazem Elrefaei Pharm.D, BCPS, BCCCP, BCIDP, as a guest speaker covering the article titled [ MR CLEAN: Endovascular Treatment With or Without Prior Intravenous Alteplase for Acute Ischemic Stroke]. IVPN Journal Club Chapter was launched as part of the IVPN Network which is a well-known knowledge & experience-sharing platform since 2012, connecting pharmacists from all over the world. During the session, an enriched discussion took place between both speakers and questions & answers session was facilitated by the host giving opportunities for sharing knowledge and influencing practices.

Dr. Jumana commented: This was a great opportunity for learning and knowledge exchange. It was an honor to participate as the first presenter in the IVPN Journal Club Series. I am so proud for being a GMU alumni, presenting in such prestigious platform.
