On September 8, 2020 CoP resumed its Seminar Series by an inspiring and interactive “healthcare economics and outcomes research” talk given by Dr. Omneya Darwish, who is experienced in market access, pharmaceutical policy and real-world evidence generation. She served as a HEOR (healthcare economics and outcomes researcher) consultant at the world bank conducting several costing and economic evaluation studies. She got her Ph.D. degree in Social and Administrative Sciences in Pharmacy from The University of Wisconsin, USA. She participated as a global outcomes research fellow at Merck, NJ, USA in evaluating hospital acute care products.

The talk was entitled “Healthcare Resource Utilization and Costs of Recurrent Clostridium difficile Infection (CDI)”. At the end of the talk, faculty, Preceptors, TA’s and the rest of attendee raised several queries and showed high interest in Dr. Darwish’s presentation.
