GMU-WSU-TUH Drug Information Webinar Series 1: Therapeutic Pearls for Interprofessional Care – FUROSEMIDE

College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University (GMU) initiated Drug Information Webinar Series for healthcare practitioners and students through its Center for Drug Information & Evidence-Based Practice & Department of Clinical Pharmacy at Thumbay University Hospital (TUH). The webinar series is organized in collaboration with Drug Information Center, Washington State University (WSU), USA. The webinar 1 was conducted on September 01, 2020.
Drug information is evolving with evidence update. With numerous ongoing research, we have a better understanding of how to use drugs more effectively, safely and economically. In this webinar series, drug information is presented in an interprofessional care perspective.

The webinar on furosemide was a comprehensive drug information effort to update on indications, administration, research outcomes, and safety covered by 3 experts in the field. Dr. Rajaram Jagdale, Specialist Nephrologist at Thumbay University Hospital; Prof. Danial Baker, Director, Drug Information Center at College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Washington State University; Dr. Dixon Thomas, Director, Center for Drug Information & Evidence-Based Practice were the speakers.
