College of Pharmacy, GMU, Webinar Series on Acute Care Therapy and COVID-19 Considerations

College of Pharmacy, GMU in Collaboration with Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman (SKMCA), West Virginia University (WVU), Midwestern University (MWU), Washington State University (WSU) conducted a webinar series on June 25-26, 2020, on acute care and COVID-19 considerations.

Acute care is known to have many drug-related problems as decisions are made quickly. It is of paramount importance for pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to achieve the best clinical outcomes. Pharmacists and other health professionals need to be empowered to provide acute care therapy and consider COVID-19 situations. A test was conducted at the end of the webinar to assure participation.

Vice Chancellor for Quality and Global Engagement and Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Sherief Khalifa appreciated the collaborative efforts of multiple organizations in the UAE and the USA in updating healthcare professionals on Acute Care Therapy and COVID-19 considerations.
