Dr. Joseph DiPiro Visits GMU PharmD Students

The College of Pharmacy and the PharmD students of Gulf Medical University were honored with the visit of Prof. Joseph DiPiro, Dean of the School of Pharmacy at Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia, USA on January 31, 2018. Dr. DiPiro is well known for his achievements in advancing pharmacy education and practice. He is also known in pharmacy schools around the world for his book ‘Pharmacotherapy: A Pathophysiologic Approach’. The book is now in its 10th edition.

Dr. DiPiro presented on opportunities for postgraduate studies for GMU students at VCU. The discussion included Summer research internship programs and student exchange opportunities between GMU and VCU PharmD students.
