College of Pharmacy faculty and students participated in the “Excellence in Oncology Care-EIOC” conference held in the Intercontinental Hotel, Dubai Festival City, Dubai, UAE on 17th – 19th of October, 2019. A total of 10 PharmD students actively participated in the poster session of the conference with 3 multidisciplinary poster presentations (Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacy Practice domains) under the supervision of 8 Faculty members. Other students attended the conference and engaged in oncology-related co-curricular activities.
Dean Khalifa commented: The College places special emphasis on research with special attention to student participation in scholarly activities. Conference participation helps polish up their scientific communication skills (written and oral) and helps instill scientific curiosity in the minds of today’s generation.
