Based on his expertise in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Research, Dr. Ibrahim Elsayed, Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University, delivered an invited presentation at the University of Sharjah. His presentation focused on the optimization of research data using Design Expert software. The seminar was conducted on December 7, 2017. Attendees included faculty members, Department Chairs and Dean of the College of Pharmacy.
The presentation included an introduction on experimental design and its importance in pharmaceutical research. The factorial designs that can be adopted to build different pharmaceutical research experiments were also discussed. Furthermore, an explanation of the different steps and techniques of data entry, analysis and optimization with practical examples and applications was introduced and discussed. Finally, the attendees participated in an open discussion about the importance and efficiency of Design-Expert software in their research.
