Dr. Shishir Ram Shetty
Dr. Shishir at present is the Assistant Professor of Oral Medicine and Radiology at the College of Dental Medicine, University of Sharjah. He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2005 and Master’s in Dental Surgery (MDS) in 2008 from Rajiv Gandhi University, Bangalore, and was awarded his Ph.D. in 2014 from Nitte University, Mangalore, India. He completed his PG diploma in Health Professional Education from Keele University (UK) and FAIMER (2022).
He has a total of 14 years of academic and clinical experience. He has 182 publications to his credit with 1406 citations, an h-index of 20 and i10 index of 45 (Indexing-PUBMED=117, SCOPUS=86, WoS= 56). Dr.Shishir has also authored 2 books and was the Principal investigator in 2 externally funded research projects.
Dr.Shishir is the Examiner for DHA and MOH licensing exams in Oral Radiology and a Ph.D. thesis evaluator for four Indian universities. He is the Member Faculty of Dental Surgery RCPS (Glasgow) since 2019 and a Member of the Royal College of Radiology (UK) since 2020
