Training Session on First Aid and CPR

Students enrolled in the BSc. in Healthcare Management and Economics (HME) program at Thumbay College of Management and AI in Healthcare, Gulf Medical University (GMU), actively participated in a comprehensive First Aid and CPR Training Session, Spring 2025. This initiative aimed to equip future healthcare professionals with vital emergency response skills, focusing on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and essential first aid techniques.

The training was led by renowned experts, Dr. Alireza Amin from the College of Medicine and Dr. Ahmad El-Ouweini from the College of Pharmacy. Through interactive, hands-on demonstrations, the instructors ensured that participants mastered the correct procedures for administering CPR and responding effectively in emergency situations.

Students praised the training for its practical value, noting that it not only deepened their theoretical understanding but also enhanced their confidence in managing real-life medical emergencies. This initiative reflects GMU’s commitment to integrating practical experiences into academic learning, reinforcing its mission to nurture competent and compassionate healthcare leaders.
