The College of Healthcare Management and Economics (CoHME) at Gulf Medical University, Ajman, started the academic year 2023-2024 with an orientation event to welcome the incoming batch of BSc. in Healthcare Management and Economics (BSc.HME) students. The event, held on 1st September, 2023 was marked by informative sessions and interactive discussions that left both students and parents inspired and well-informed.
The day commenced with an insightful briefing by Dr. Moon Moon Haque, providing an overview of the college’s vision, mission, and commitment to delivering high-quality education in healthcare management and economics.
Dr. Sudhir Rana, the Program Director for BSc.HME program, then took the stage to provide a comprehensive overview of the program’s curriculum, learning objectives, and the numerous opportunities it offers for personal and professional growth.
One of the highlights of the event was the interaction between faculty members and the incoming students and their parents. This session allowed students to connect with their future mentors and educators, gaining valuable insights and a glimpse of the supportive academic environment that CoHME fosters.
Dr. Jagroop Singh, shed light on the essential role of mentorship in nurturing the students’ academic and personal development. His words resonated with the attendees, emphasizing the importance of guidance and support throughout their academic journey. Later Dr. Lubna, an esteemed faculty member shared her insights into well-being and the role of happiness in academic and personal success left a profound impact on everyone present.
