The white coat ceremony is a ritual proudly followed by the Gulf Medical University. During the ceremony, a white coat is donned by each student and the Hippocratic Oath is recited; welcoming students to healthcare practice and elevating the value of humanism as the core of healthcare. It provides a powerful emphasis on compassion in combination with scientific excellence.
The solemn ceremony was conferred on September 30th, 2021 in the gracious presence of Dr. Thumbay Moideen, Honorable President of Thumbay Group, respected Chancellor Prof. Hossam Hamdy, Vice Chancellor Academics Prof. Manda Venkataramana and respected Dean of College of Dentistry Prof. Hesham Marei.
Ms. Fatema Aboujufoul and Mr. Faraj Alhasan received their white coats on stage from the Honorable President, Dr. Thumbay Moideen on behalf of the Year I BDS students. The event was aired live on Youtube for faculty and parents. It was a proud moment for Gulf Medical University, students and parents.
