Prof. Hossam Hamdy, Chancellor of the Gulf Medical University and the faculty members of College of Dentistry welcomed Prof. Ashraf Ayoub, Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, University of Glasgow Hospital and School, Scotland on 1st March 2020. His visit focused on the possible opportunities for future collaborations; in running continuous professional development courses that would serve students at both undergraduate and postgraduate level along with graduates who are specialists in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Prof. Ashraf’s visit also involved the implementation of an educational research project in collaboration with Prof. Hesham Marei, Dean of College of Dentistry. Moreover, Prof. Ashraf also conducted a two-hour interactive session with faculty and both undergraduate and postgraduate students, highlighting the significance of shared teaching sessions comprising of different dental specialities for rendering correct diagnosis and treatment.
