The Student Happiness Centre of College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University organized a career advising session titled “Application Tracking System: Building an Internationally Standard Resume” on the 11th of November 2024 for Year 5 dental students, dental interns, and postgraduates. The session was facilitated by Dr. Ranya Elemam, Assistant Professor of Endodontics, and Dr. Pooja Adtani, Assistant Professor of Oral Histopathology, CoD, the event aimed to equip students with skills to craft resumes optimized for Application Tracking Systems (ATS).

The session covered essential topics, including the key features of ATS, the importance of ATS compliance, and strategies for building an internationally standard, ATS-friendly resume. Attendees learned how ATS software filters and ranks candidates based on resume keywords and criteria matching, emphasizing the need for precision and relevance in job applications.
The interactive workshop highlighted practical tools, such as resume templates and screening checklists, tailored to the needs of dental professionals and students. Overall, students enthusiastically participated, gaining valuable insights to boost their employability in the global job market.
