A distinguished team of Russian delegates from the Pavlov University, led by Prof. Yaremenko Andrei, President of the Russian Dental Association and Head of the Department of Surgical Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery at the First St. Petersburg State Medical University, visited the College of Dentistry (COD), GMU on the 22nd of May 2023.
The visit commenced with a meeting between the Russian delegation and Prof. Hesham Marei, Dean of the College of Dentistry, to explore potential areas of collaboration between COD and the esteemed Pavlov University. The Russian delegation also took a comprehensive tour of the Thumbay Dental Hospital (TDH) and the Postgraduate Dental Center at the Thumbay University Hospital (TUH). The delegates were impressed by the cutting-edge technology and advanced treatment modalities utilized at these facilities, showcasing delivery of high-quality dental education and patient care.
Furthermore, the Russian delegates had the opportunity to interact with dentistry students, wherein the students shared their positive experiences and expressed their satisfaction with the learning environment and the extensive training provided by experienced faculty.
