Prof. Hesham Marei, Dean, College of Dentistry, GMU, delivered a talk on the ‘Concepts of Guided Implant Surgery (static & navigational)’ on the 10th of June 2023 at an educational event organized by the Total Core Academy on Introduction to Digital Implantology. During the talk, Prof. Marei discussed the intricate details of guided implant surgery, and techniques to visualize implant placements in real time 3D constructs using navigational software’s.
As the event progressed, Prof. Marei led a hands-on session focused on the ‘Design and Printing of Surgical Guides’ demonstrating precise placements of implants using surgical guides. The experience enabled dental professionals to embrace the transformative potential of guided implant surgery and its applications in the modern era of dentistry.
