Prof. Hesham Marei, Dean, College of Dentistry, GMU delivered an insightful talk and facilitated a hands-on workshop on the ‘Basic Principles & Complications of Maxillary Sinus Grafting’ on the 30th of March 2024. The event was organized in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Health Services, SEHA, and Total Core Academy.
Prof.Hesham addressed crucial learning objectives such as identifying key anatomical features of the maxillary sinus and their relevance in maxillary sinus grafting. He enlisted the indications for maxillary sinus bone grafting and introduced different techniques for the procedure. Moreover, participants learned to recognize potential complications and management strategies, ensuring safe and successful outcomes.
The session concluded with a comprehensive discussion on post-operative care and success criteria, equipping attendees with essential knowledge for effective patient management.
