Prof. Hesham Marei, Dean, College of Dentistry delivered a keynote lecture on ‘The Role of CBCT in Maxillary Sinus Bone Grafting’, at the prestigious 37th CAD/CAM Digital and Orofacial International Dental Conference and Exhibition, held on 15th of November 2024.

Prof. Hesham provided a comprehensive overview of the theoretical principles and clinical applications of Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) in maxillary sinus bone grafting. The lecture emphasized CBCT’s role in delivering precise, high-resolution, three-dimensional imaging critical for assessing sinus anatomy, and bone quality.
The session highlighted CBCT’s clinical value in preoperative planning, intraoperative navigation, and postoperative evaluation, showcasing its ability to enhance surgical accuracy and minimize complications.
