Mastering the Assessment of Essential Patient Vitals through Interprofessional Collaboration with Nursing Professionals

As a part of the General Surgery & ENT course, an enriching session on the ‘Assessment of Essential Patient Vitals’, was conducted at the Thumbay Dental Hospital, Ajman for Year 2 dental students on the 11th of July 2024.

This session emphasized interprofessional collaboration with nursing professionals where students gained hands-on experience in measuring blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature, reinforcing the importance of these skills in dental practice. The collaboration highlighted the integration of medical and dental education, aiming to improve patient outcomes through comprehensive healthcare training.
