GMU’s College of Dentistry, in collaboration with its industrial partner Curaden Academy, proudly celebrated World Oral Health Day 2025 on the 20th of March 2025, embracing the FDI’s theme, “A Happy Mouth is a… Happy Mind!”, the event highlighted the importance of oral health and its impact on overall well-being.

The event featured poster presentations by dental students, along with interactive activities. Students from different programs practiced the Bass Brushing Technique and use of interdental aids on models, participated in oral health trivia and board games, and engaged in Brush & Splash, where they painted and wrote fun dental facts. Winners received exciting Curaprox-sponsored goodies.
Additionally, a hands-on workshop on oral biofilm management, conducted in collaboration with Curaden Academy, was designed for BDS students, dental interns, and students from the Diploma of Dental Assistant Program. The session introduced participants to biofilm management techniques using the Touch-to-Teach Method, offering valuable insights into professional oral care. The workshop was facilitated by Ms. Lavanya from Curaden Academy and Dr. Jovita D’Souza, Lecturer & Specialist in Periodontics, CoD.
With a perfect mix of learning and fun, World Oral Health Day 2025 at GMU was a memorable and engaging celebration of oral health awareness.
