The Department of Preventive Dental Sciences at College of Dentistry, GMU in collaboration with 3D-Ortholine, organized a workshop titled ‘Aligning Smiles: A QuickStart Workshop on Orthodontic Aligners‘ for dental interns on the 18th of March 2024.
The workshop offered invaluable hands-on experience and insights into the latest advancements in orthodontic aligner technology, under the guidance of experienced facilitators Dr. Ayman Khalif, Associate Professor of Orthodontics, and Dr. Riham Hadj, Lecturer & Specialist in Orthodontics.
The workshop was divided into three informative sessions; theoretical foundations including principles, indications, and treatment planning considerations, followed by a hands-on demonstration showcasing insertion techniques and patient instructions. Interactive case studies encouraged group discussions, emphasizing effective communication strategies with patients regarding aligner therapy.
The workshop proved instrumental in enhancing the knowledge and skills of dental interns, equipping them with essential tools for future orthodontic practice.
